Harmony Kids Frequently Asked Questions

harmony kids frequently asked questionsIt is very important to us that you as a parent are completely secure with your child attending Harmony Kids Learning Center. Here are some frequently asked questions that many parents wonder about.

Does Harmony Kids transport to and from the Elementary school?
Yes, we will be working with Harmony Transit to ensure our students have transportation to the Elementary school before and after school.
Will my school aged child have transportation to Summer Rec programs?
Yes, we will be working with Harmony Transit to ensure our students have transportation to Summer Rec programs.
What kind of security is there at Harmony Kids?
All doors leading into Harmony Kids are locked, staff and parents have a key card to have access to the building. Doors are only locked from the outside, giving children and staff the ability to leave the building in the case of an emergency, these exits also sound an alarm when opened to inform teachers of unnecessary exiting.
Do you accommodate children with special needs (allergies, asthma, physical disabilities, learning disabilities, etc?)
Parents/Guardians have the responsibility to inform the center if their child/(ren) have any special conditions so they we can provide appropriate care and supports. If their child has a special need we work with the parents/guardians to see if that child would be eligible for care management through the state. Our staff works closely with each child’s parents/guardians to ensure that an Individual Service Plan (ISP) is in place, or if they are receiving services through the local school district and has an Individual Educational Plan (IEP), that is determined by a licensed physician, psychiatrist, psychologist, or consulting psychologist to have a condition related to physical, socials or emotional development. We ask parents/guardians to share the ISP and/or IEP with Center staff. In addition, state licensing regulations require us to develop an Individualized Child Care Plan (ICCP) with the parents that will assist staff to meet their child’s needs.
